High School Work Program

Hooper Camp Counselors and Work Program Participants 2025
The Institute sponsors a summer work program for high school age youth entering grades 9-12. Teens have a choice of working at a variety of locations that are updated yearly. Check in each year to see the current offerings!

This program is competitive and does require students to complete a formal application and interview process. Applications will open April 1 and presentations will be made to the 8th grade class to share our offerings for the year.

Current High School Work Placement Options:
  • Summer Camp Counselors at Hooper Camp
  • Garden Assistant
  • Local Farms

Interested in hosting a High School Worker for the summer?

We are always looking for new high school work program sites around Walpole to host our wonderful workers. If you have a site that could use an extra set of hands and fits in the category of agriculture, botany, soils, forestry or environmental science, please contact us at [email protected].
