High School Work Program

Hooper Camp Counselors and Work Program Participants 2025
The Institute sponsors a summer work program for high school age youth entering grades 9-12. Teens have a choice of working at a variety of locations that are updated yearly. Check in each year to see the current offerings!

This program is competitive and does require students to complete a formal application and interview process. Applications will open in February and presentations will be made to the 8th grade class to share our offerings for the year.

Current High School Work Placement Options:
  • Summer Camp Counselors at Hooper Camp
  • Garden Assistant
  • Local Farms

Interested in hosting a High School Worker for the summer?

We are always looking for new high school work program sites around Walpole to host our wonderful workers. If you have a site that could use an extra set of hands and fits in the category of agriculture, botany, soils, forestry or environmental science, please contact us at [email protected].
