Funding for Hooper Institute programs comes from the George L. Hooper Trust. Trustees of the Hooper Trust (the Selectboard) appoint members of the Hooper Institute Board who advise Hooper Institute personnel.

Help support the Hooper Institute by joining us as our Board Recording Secretary.
Position Description:
This position requires attendance at our monthly board meetings, held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm at the Hooper Institute. Meetings are held in person with occasional online sessions due to inclement weather. The recording secretary is a non-voting member of the board. The job of the recording secretary is to take and transcribe meeting minutes which includes votes, and summaries of individual reports. A template is provided. Draft minutes are sent to the board for approval at the next meeting. The recording secretary is responsible for making any adjustments to previous minutes.
Rate:
There is a flat rate paid for each meeting and additional pay for up to 2 hours each month transcribing the meeting minutes after the meeting. Our current rates are as follows: $60 flat rate per meeting and $18.50/hr (up to 2 hrs a month) for transcription outside of the meeting time.
